The oldest son of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump says he still has "a lot to do in my own career."
"Maybe when the kids get out of school I would consider it," Trump Jr. said Wednesday at The Wall Street Journal breakfast in Cleveland during the Republican National Convention, according to Bloomberg.
He added that he'd "love to be able to do it, as a patriot," according to U.S. News and World Report.
His comments come after he delivered a Tuesday night speech at the convention that sparked speculation about his potential future in politics.
"Trump, Jr. should run for office. He sounds like someone I could vote for, unlike his father," tweeted conservative commentator Erick Erickson after the address.
